Hearth Homeschool Support Group
HEARTH (“Home Education Achieved Responsibly Through Him”) is a Christian homeschool support group for both West Virginia and Virginia, mostly in Mercer and Tazewell Counties. Along with many activities for students, we meet twice a year for a Homeschool Connections meeting and a Testing & Evaluations meeting. This is where we parents gather to plan events, fellowship, and encourage one another in our homeschooling.
We also host a private Facebook group where members can ask questions, share encouragement, and stay informed about upcoming events. Don’t have Facebook? No problem! All members receive a monthly email throughout the school year with upcoming event details.
Some of the student activities that we enjoy as a group are:
- Bowling
- Swimming
- Student Presentations
- Gym Class
- Writing Class
- Art Class
- Co-Op
- Student Council
- Forest School
- Picnics & Nature Days
- Prom
- High School Graduation
- Various Field Trips
We would love to have your family join us! Our next parents’ meeting will be August 17, 2026. This meeting will focus on Starting Strong this school year. Come out to build connections with other homeschooling families and be encouraged as you start a new school year.
Please contact us for more information.
Membership is $15 per year and covers paper products and other incidentals for our gatherings. For more information, send us an email or message our Facebook page.
